Beginning Jan. 19, The Friends of the Scotch Plains Public Library will be collecting goods for their annual book sale to benefit programs and development of the library.

The following information was provided by the Friends of the Scotch Plains Public Library. The Friends of the Scotch Plains Public Library next month will begin collecting items for its upcoming Book Sale in March. The organization is seeking clean, salable books with no torn or marked pages. Both hardcovers and paperbacks will be accepted, as well as books on CD, music CDs and DVDs. The Friends request that donations do not include older or time-sensitive materials such as videotapes, records, magazines and textbooks. Smile! The Holidays are here and St. Paul’s Annual Book Sale is upon us! December 9 is the new start date for the 25th Annual Book Sale at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Westfield. St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Westfield is seeking book donations for its annual Friends of Music Book Sale, which starts on Sunday, November 4 (noon-5pm), continues on Monday, November 5 (9am-9pm), and closes on Tuesday, November 6 (Bag Day, 9am-noon). Especially needed are hardback and paperback fiction, nonfiction, cookbooks, audio books, videos, computer software, compact discs, records, DVDs, puzzles and children’s books. The church is unable to accept donations of textbooks, magazines, encyclopedias or Reader’s Digest condensed books. If possible, please bag and label your donations by category. Book donations will be accepted beginning September 14 at Forest Road Park
The Friends of the Fanwood Memorial Library are hosting their annual, four-day Book Sale at Forest Road Park beginning September 20. All proceeds will benefit library programs, including the summer reading program for children. “We’ve found that with our annual book sale, the Friends are able to pay for a lot of activities that we might not otherwise be able to provide locally,” said Thena Rosahl, who runs the book sale this year. Programs funded by last year’s sale included an evening of Italian Music with Salvatore Chiarelli and the Museum Pass Program, where card holders and Friends can visit area musuems for free or at a minimal cost.
