The following information was provided by the Scotch Plains Police Department. Burglary January, 9 2013: A resident of Church Ave. reported being a victim of an attempted Burglary. He stated when he came home at approximately 5:30 p.m. a white male was trying to get into the closed in porch area. When the victim asked the suspect what they were doing he ran off. January 13, 2013: The manager of a Route 22 restaurant reported being a victim of an attempted burglary. He stated sometime overnight unknown suspect(s) attempted to gain entry into the restaurant by prying open the window to the drive thru.
