Scotch Plains Blotter: Resident Reports $1,500 of Credit Card Theft

The following information was provided by the Scotch Plains Police Department. Arrests do not indicate convictions.

The following information was provided by the Scotch Plains Police Department.   February 18, 2013: An owner of a Route 22 store reported being a victim of Criminal Mischief. He stated that sometime overnight unknown suspect(s) threw a rock at his building causing damage.   February 19, 2013: A resident of Gales Court reported being a victim of Fraud. She stated that unknown suspect(s) made approximately $1,500 in purchases on her credit card without her authorization.   February 21, 2013: The owner of a business on Beryllium Road reported being a victim of Illegal Dumping.  He stated that sometime overnight unknown suspect(s) placed bedding and other garbage in his dumpster.

Scotch Plains Blotter: Tires Slashed on Vehicle of Jerusalem Road Resident

The following information was provided by the Scotch Plains Police Department. Arrests do not indicate convictions.

  The following information was provided by the Scotch Plains Police Department.   February 12, 2013:  A resident of Hetfield Avenue reported being a victim of Criminal Mischief. She stated that sometime during the day unknown suspect(s) damaged the windshield wipers on her vehicle.   Feburary 13, 2013: A resident of Pine Terrace reported being a victim of Harassment.  She stated that she has been having an ongoing dispute with her neighbor who yells obscenities at her all the time.     Feburary 13, 2013: A resident of Jerusalem Road reported being a victim of Criminal Mischief.  He stated that sometime overnight unknown suspect(s) slashed the four tires to his vehicle.

Fanwood Blotter: Spreading Feces, Store Robbery, Stolen Computer and Arrests

The following information was provided by the Fanwood Police Department. Arrests do not indicate convictions.

Criminal Mischief Between September 17, 2012 and September 18, 2012: An unknown person did criminal mischief to the Forest Road Park men's bathroom by spreading human feces on the bathroom walls.  Theft September 18, 2012: At 5:05 a.m. a business in the 500 block of North Ave. reported a theft of merchandise valued at $ 200.00. The suspect is described as a white male in his early 20's, 5'-7" to 5'-8" in height, wearing glasses, gray sweat shirt and pants.  Between September 19, 2012 and September 20, 2012: Between 10 p.m. and 8 a.m. a resident in the 10 block of Brohm Place reported that an unknown person entered her unlocked, parked vehicle and removed a lap top computer valued at $ 800.00. SP Police Investigate Heroin Possession, Stolen Laptop

SPPD arrests a Westfield resident for possession of heroin, investigates theft, fraud, criminal mischief.

Fraud On May 2, a Raritan Road resident reported being victim of fraud. The victim stated that unknown suspect(s) opened up a credit card without his authorization and accumulated a total of $3,500 in charges. On May 5, a Montague Avenue resident reported being a victim of a fraud. The victim stated that unknown suspect(s) took his social security check and cashed it without his authorization.      Theft On May 2, a Park Avenue resident reported a theft. The victim stated that sometime overnight unknown suspect(s) entered her vehicle while it was parked in the parking lot. Fanwood PD Bust Two for Possession of Marijuana

Fanwood Police nab those driving with active warrants, in possession of illegal drugs, and investigate local thefts and criminal mischief.

Theft A Herbert Avenue resident reported that a GPS unit valued at $100 was stolen from her unlocked vehicle while it was parked in the street. The victim stated that the theft occurred sometime between March 24 at 3 p.m. and 8 a.m. on March 26. Criminal Mischief The owner of a commercial vehicle reported that on March 31, between the hours of 9:30 and 11 a.m., an unknown person damaged his side-view mirror while the vehicle was parked on Montrose Avenue near Westfield Road. Arrests Tyshina Spencer, 26, of Plainfield, was arrested at 9:50 a.m. on March 28 for an active warrant out of South Plainfield and possession of marijuana. Routine Traffic Stops Lead to Arrests

Two arrests top the list of recent criminal activity reported Fanwood Police Department.

Active Warrants Alexander Branch the third, 54, of Plainfield was arrested on November 23 at 9:51 a.m. on LaGrande Avenue for a motor vehicle violation. After running the defendant’s license through the system, Police found an active warrant out of East Orange. Branch was arrested, processed and transferred to the East Orange Police Department. Ivan Lugo, 34, of Elizabeth was arrested on November 23, at 2:55 p.m.  on South Avenue. Police stopped Lugo’s vehicle for a motor vehicle violation. After running a check on the defendant’s license, Police found an active warrant out of Elizabeth. Lugo was arrested, processed, posted bail and released.
