Fanwood-Scotch Plains Girl Scouts Enjoy “Me and My Guy” Dances

The Annual "Me and My Guy" Dances are a highlight of the year for the Girl Scouts.

The following information was provided by the Fanwood-Scotch Plains Girl Scouts. A highlight of the year for Fanwood-Scotch Plains Girl Scouts is the annual “Me and My Guy Dance,” attended by girls with their fathers or other male adult. This year there were again three dances, each giving Girl Scouts in a different age group a chance to get dressed up in their finest attire and party with their friends. Food, prizes and dancing to music provided by a DJ were featured at all three events. Families of all attendees will receive a portrait photo of their Girl Scout and her escort. Girl Scouts in fourth grade and older enjoyed the first dance, held at the end of January at Connell Corporate Center in Berkeley Heights. More than 100 couples …

Girl Scouts Dance the Night Away at Annual "Me and My Guy" Events

Hundreds of Brownie and Daisy Girl Scouts in SPF kicked up their heels at two annual Me and My Guy Dances.

On February 10, 200 second and third grade Brownie Girl Scouts stepped on to the Union Catholic High School red carpet on for the annual “Me and My Guy” dance and an evening of Hollywood Glam. The “Me and My Guy” Dance (also known as the annual father daughter dance) draws hundreds of Fanwood and Scotch Plains girl scouts for a special night complete with refreshments, a DJ and a professional photographer to capture that classic annual portrait with each scout’s special guy. This event was organized by Cadette Girl Scouts, Annemarie Kearns and Kaavya Krishna-Kumar who planned this special night as a requirement for achieving the Girl Scout Silver Award.
