SPFHS Boys and Girls Varsity Soccer Teams Honored For Outstanding Seasons
Three resolutions were passed at the Jan. 17 council meeting to congratulate the Girls co-county champions and Boys county champion teams.
The Scotch Plains-Fanwood High School Boys and Girls’ Varsity soccer teams played outstandingly for the 2012 season, leading the boys to win the county championship and the girls to be a county co-champion. Since both teams performed so well this season the Board of Education felt it appropriate to honor their achievements in official board resolutions. The first two resolutions passed acknowledged the achievements of both teams wishing them continued success. A third resolution was also passed honoring Boys Varsity Player, Colin Stripling, for being named All-American by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America.
