Map: Multiple Thefts Occurred to Unlocked Cars in Scotch Plains and Fanwood
Since the end of December several GPS units and other items have been stolen from unlocked vehicles in Scotch Plains and Fanwood.
Since Dec. 28, several thefts have been reported in the police blotters for Scotch Plains and Fanwood, mostly to unlocked vehicles. Patch has created a map that provides a look at the locations of these thefts (attached to this article). For a more detailed look, visit the map on Google Maps. Here's a look at when the thefts occurred and what was stolen: Terrill Rd, Scotch Plains: On Jan. 25 a Terrill Road business owner reported several hundred dollars in cash was stolen overnight. Cook Ave, Scotch Plains: On Jan. 13 a laptop was stolen from a locked vehicle, but there were no signs of forced entry.
