Seniors at Lake Avenue Complex Receive A Warm Meal

Scotch Plains OEM Director, Paul Malool coordinated the meals.

The following information was provided by Councilman, Kevin Glover. Residents of the Lake Avenue senior housing apartment complex enjoyed a warm and hearty meal during the power outage. Food was donated by the Muscle Maker Grill at RWJ at SP and the A&P in Clark. The meal was prepared by the staff of the Stage House in Scotch Plains. This undertaking was coordinated by SP OEM Director Paul Malool assisted by SP residents. Mr Malool also obtained a generator to open Scotch Hills CC as a temporary warming station during the afternoon. Citizens I(Kevin Glover) met at both locations were extremely appreciative of the kind and caring actions taken to help them, and wanted their appreciation conveyed to all who were involved in this effort.

ScPlns Senior Center has a back-up generator and the bldg had heat. The stoves in their apts are electric. Since the power was down, the residents could not cook, Bravo to Mr Malool for assisting in getting a hot meal or two for the seniors. I also believe the Red Cross & the fire dept provided meals as well.   more ›
