Fanwood’s Goddard School Placed on Partial Lockdown This Afternoon

All NJ Goddard Schools were placed on lockdown as a precautionary measure this afternoon due to a tweet found by Goddard’s corporate offices.

Around noon on Friday, the corporate offices of Goddard found a comment on Twitter that seemed to be threating to Goddard schools, as a precaution all New Jersey Goddard Schools were informed and placed on a partial lockdown, according to Fanwood’s Goddard School owner Tracy Brace. Brace said the tweet was said to have come from a high school student in Randolph, NJ and was eventually said to be a misunderstood joke. As a precaution, the Fanwood Goddard School locked the front door and would not let anyone new into the building, including parents. However, at 12:30 p.m. the school dismissed of their half-day students by walking the students outside to their parents. “We didn’t perceive it to be a threat to let anyone out of the building…
