Dog Days Artist Reception at Scotch Plains Public Library

In honor of
Adopt-a-Shelter Dog Month, the Scotch Plains Public Library will be hosting a
series of events throughout October.

To kick off
the month, the library will host an art gallery reception on Thursday, October
10
at 7 pm.  This reception will feature

the dog-related exhibits of local artists Vicki Parker and Leeza

Hernandez.  We will also be leaving one
wall open for YOU and other community members to display photographs, art work,

and writings about your favorite canines. They do not have to be shelter dogs —
we love ‘em all!

If you would like to
contribute to the dog-related art exhibit, please bring your framed or
foamboard-mounted creation, 5×7 to 8.5 x11 inches to the Reference Desk any
time the library is open from September 23 through October 28. Be sure to
include this information: Title of work and name of artist (to be seen by all)
and your contact information (to be used by library staff only).

Can’t make the reception?  The exhibit will be open from October 1

through October 28.
