Make Your Own Sugar Scrubs--Free Workshops at Scotch Plains Public Library

On Monday, December 2 at 7 pm, the library's own Lisa Thornton will lead a hands-on workshop on using essential oils to create bath salts and sugar scrubs.  Lisa, a certified clinical aroma therapist, is supplying jars and all materials along with instruction on how to make more at home.  Participants will be able to make one jar of bath salts and one of body scrub, choosing between citrus, mint, and lavender oils.  She is also providing snacks and recipes made with the oils.  She says, "Using essential oils is an easy and enjoyable way to create healthy gifts the recipient will enjoy using."  This program is open to adults and teens in grades 7-12 and also to older children in grades 5 and 6 (who must be accompanied by an adult).

Registration is limited and pre-registration is required.

Participants can sign up at the Reference Desk, on the library's website (www.scotlib.org), or by contacting the library at (908) 322-5007 x 204 or library@scotlib.org.

Scotch Plains Public Library programs are free and open to the public.  The Scotch Plains Public Library is located at 1927 Bartle Avenue, one block from Park Avenue in the center of town.
