FW Police Report Two Vehicle Burglaries Last Week

Both victims had GPS devices stolen from their vehicles.

Here's yet another reminder to lock your car doors.

Fanwood police had two vehicle burglaries reported last week by residents.

On Thursday, Aug. 6, a resident of the 50 block of Paterson Road reported being a victim of vehicle burglary. The resident told police that sometime between Wednesday, Aug. 5, and Thursday, Aug. 6, someone broke out his passenger window and stole his GPS device and radar detector. The car was locked and parked in his driveway at the time.

Then, on Friday, Aug. 7, a resident of the 100 block of Hunter Avenue reported that someone broke into his car and stole a GPS device and XM Radio. The victim stated that his car was locked and parked in his driveway, but that the suspect pried open one of the doors.

Scotch Plains police had six vehicle burglaries reported in the township last week. On Sunday, Aug. 9, they arrested LTD Hannah, 31, of Plainfield, after finding him in Fanwood. He has so far been tied to four of the burglaries.
