Vehicle-Related Burglary and Theft in Fanwood Last Week

A car was broken into and a bicycle was stolen.

Here's yet another reminder to keep your vehicle doors locked and your bicycles properly stored away.

Fanwood police dealt with one vehicle burglary and one bike theft last week.

Sometime between noon on Monday, July 20, and 11 p.m. on Tuesday, July 21, a burglar entered an unlocked car parked on the 100 block of North Avenue and stole jewelry and cash, valued in total at $25.

Then on Friday, July 24, between 7 and 9 p.m., someone stole a bicycle, valued at $250, from the 100 block of Beech Avenue. Fanwood police say the bike was parked out in front of the individual's house.
