Scotch Plains Christmas Tree Pickup Starts Soon

Ornaments and other decorations must be taken off.

The township of Scotch Plains has announced the start date of its Christmas tree pickup program.

Starting Jan. 11, the public works department will pick up Christmas trees placed at the curb. The township states that trees should be placed at the curb without bags, ornaments, tinsel, wreathes, or branches.

If you wish to dispose of the tree yourself, the township directs you to drop it off at the Department of Public Property yard on Plainfield Avenue anytime before January 30.
