Stender Named State Government Assembly Chair
This is the assemblywoman's first chairmanship.
Assemblywoman Linda Stender (D-Union) has been named the chair of the assembly's state government committee.
General Assembly Speaker Sheila Y. Oliver (D-Essex) announced on Tuesday which committees Stender and others were assigned to for the 2010-2011 legislative session.
Stender's post as chair of the State Government Committee is her first chairmanship. She was also selected to serve as vice-chair of the Transportation, Public Works & Independent Authorities Committee and on the Appropriations Committee.
